"Most providers feel like they're trying to solve a problem, but my Prosper clinician felt like she was trying to understand a person. That distinction matters enormously, especially when you're going through something as personal as an autism assessment. This entire experience has been transformative."

"My assessor was able to separate my trauma responses from my neurodivergence—something no one else could do in 20 years of doctors visits. She was respectful, thorough, and holistic. I left with referrals and support I had begged other doctors for. The care was warm, thoughtful, and life-changing."

Frequently asked questions

What is Prosper Health?

Prosper Health is the first telehealth provider focused exclusively on autistic and neurodivergent adults. We are affirming and strength-based, and adapt our care specifically for autistic adults! All of our services are provided virtually via telehealth, and we accept most major insurances! Whether you are seeking a diagnosis for the first time or are looking for ongoing therapy, we would love to support you and help you achieve your goals.

What types of conditions do you support?

Our support is individualized based on your needs, but we commonly help people with the overlap of autism, neurodivergence, and any of the following: anxiety and depression, trauma/PTSD, processing and understanding a late diagnosis, autistic burnout, executive functioning challenges, social or relationship difficulties, life transitions and/or entering adulthood, sensory management, emotional regulation, and more.

What’s the difference between an assessment and therapy?

If you don’t have a diagnosis yet and would like to go through our assessment process, we offer assessments with licensed psychologists in your state who specialize in diagnosing autistic adults. Each psychologist is specifically trained to recognize autism in subtle and difficult-to-identify cases.

If you are autistic, identify with autistic traits, or want to work with someone who specializes in neurodivergence, we offer ongoing support through therapy with therapists specialized in working with autistic adults. At Prosper, we take an adapted approach to therapy that is modified specifically to meet the unique needs of autistic adults. Our therapists can work with you to meet your goals. A prior diagnosis is not needed to begin therapy.

Can you tell me more about therapy with Prosper?

We offer ongoing support through therapy with therapists specialized in working with autistic and neurodivergent adults. At Prosper, we take an adapted approach to therapy that is modified specifically to meet the unique needs of autistic adults. Our therapists can work with you to meet your goals. A prior diagnosis is not needed to begin therapy.

We’ll aim to match you with a therapist that meets your preferences (e.g., identity, gender, etc.). During your first session or two, the therapist will want to learn more about your background and goals. In subsequent sessions, you and your therapist can work together to figure out a treatment approach that works best for you.

Are you in-network with my insurance?

As of August 2025, we currently accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford, and United in the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Please note:

In Michigan and Pennsylvania, we are unable to accept Cigna for therapy services.

In Wisconsin, we do not accept Cigna for either therapy or assessments.

We are continuously working to expand our insurance options to help make care more accessible.

If you are not covered by these insurance plans, self-pay options are available:

Therapy sessions: $125 per session

Assessments: $950 for the complete process, conveniently split into three separate payments of $316.67 each

Is a virtual autism diagnosis trustworthy?

Our virtual autism assessment was built from the ground up for adults—unlike the ADOS, which was designed for children at in-person clinics—our approach uses adult-validated tools and telehealth best practices grounded in the latest psychological research. By eliminating the need for multiple specialist visits, we deliver the same diagnostic rigor at a far lower price point and with no compromise on quality.
