Our team of therapists and psychologists has extensive experience working with autistic adults.

Welcome, and thank you for being here today. I appreciate you taking this important step, and I hope our time together feels comfortable, supportive, and informative. I know that deciding to pursue an autism evaluation can bring a mix of emotions. You may feel hopeful, uncertain, relieved, or even wonder why it took so long to get here. Wherever you are in your journey, I want you to know that you'll be met with kindness, respect, and genuine curiosity, not judgment. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist based in the Chicago area with more than 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors in hospitals, private practice, and public service. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations while helping people better understand themselves through compassionate, individualized care. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of listening to thousands of people's stories, and no two have ever been the same. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we'll explore your experiences with openness and compassion so you can leave with greater clarity, deeper self-understanding, and confidence in who you are.

I approach each evaluation with curiosity, respect, and care, taking time to understand your experiences within the broader context of your life. My goal is to create a thoughtful, collaborative assessment process where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences openly and leave with a clearer understanding of yourself.

Welcome! My name is Wayne, and I'm a psychologist. More to the point, I'm a person. And I happen to be a person who is credentialed as a psychologist. I learned a lot of things in school and during my career. But my genuine concern for people is part of who I am, not something I learned from a book. I am happy to be on a first-name basis. Some people are not entirely comfortable with that, so you can call me Dr. Wayne if you prefer. I live in the Tampa Bay, Florida area, but I come from New England. I am licensed in Florida and Connecticut. It's important to me to always see you as a real person, with more experiences and emotions than you can possibly express. It's my job to try to create a safe space so you will help me to understand you. Let's begin.
