About
I am Rachelle Rose, PsyD, a licensed psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience working with neurodivergent individuals and their families. My work with autistic individuals began in the mid-1990s while I was completing my bachelor’s degree. That early experience helped shape the way I practice today. Over the years, I have developed a deep appreciation for the questions, concerns, and hopes that often bring individuals and families to an evaluation.
I am especially drawn to working with autistic individuals because I have deep respect for autistic people and for the many ways they experience, understand, and move through the world. I approach this work from a strength-based perspective, recognizing that autistic individuals bring meaningful abilities, insights, interests, and ways of thinking that should be understood and valued—not overlooked or minimized. At the same time, I understand that autistic people may face real challenges in daily life, relationships, school, work, and accessing support, particularly when their needs are misunderstood. My hope is to provide a space where each person’s strengths and struggles are both taken seriously, and where autistic individuals are seen as whole people with unique perspectives, not simply through the lens of a diagnosis.
I know that the evaluation process can feel overwhelming, emotional, or even discouraging at times—especially when you are trying to make sense of challenges, find the right support, or advocate for yourself. My goal is to make the process feel clear, respectful, and collaborative from start to finish. I take time to listen carefully, understand each person’s unique strengths and needs, and provide practical recommendations that can help families move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Most of all, I want individuals and families to feel heard, supported, and cared for throughout the assessment experience.
