Hello! My name is Laura, and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I've been working as a counselor for over ten years. I've always been fascinated by psychology. Why do people think and behave the way they do? What transforms a regular conversation into a therapeutic one? What motivates people to change? I've explored these ideas throughout my practice. I truly believe that therapy can benefit everyone, and I work with each individual to discover the path and the tools that will be most beneficial for and resonant with them.

I believe that each person has a unique story and life journey that shapes who they are. Along that journey, we often encounter people who help us gain perspective, make sense of difficult experiences, and discover strengths we may not have recognized in ourselves. I have committed my professional life to being one of those people.
Through the assessment process, I strive to help individuals recognize patterns, identify strengths, and gain insight into both their challenges and their potential. Few things are more meaningful to me than witnessing someone gain a more empowered sense of who they are.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults whose lives have been impacted by trauma, adversity, and addiction. My work has taken me throughout the United States and internationally to the Caribbean, providing opportunities to work with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. I have a deep appreciation for how culture, community, and group identity shape our development, and I intentionally incorporate these perspectives into the assessment process to ensure each evaluation reflects the whole person. In recent years, my practice has focused on psychological assessment, empowering adults to recognize their strengths, understand their needs, and confidently advocate for themselves at school, at work, and at home.
I am licensed in California and Florida and hold PSYPACT authorization, which allows me to provide online services to clients in many states across the country. Whether you are seeking greater self-understanding, diagnostic clarity, or guidance for your next steps, I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
