Angel Kammeyer
About
My name is Angel Kammeyer and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am originally from California but have lived in Oregon since 2014. I believe that healing is possible, especially with the right collaborative process. I strive to create a safe space for you to unpack and process traumatic experiences, learn who you are and how you show up in the world, and receive the care that you deserve. Together we will work at a pace that feels most comfortable for you. The courage to heal comes from within and as you find your voice to tell your story and to take ownership of your experience, I will be here to support you in your healing journey. I will help you understand how to identify the patterns, manage your symptoms, and find healthy ways to cope.
I am passionate about the work that I do. I have always aspired to be an advocate for my community members. As someone diagnosed with ADHD late in life, I know how enlightening it can be to finally have the answers to questions I didn't even know I had. Being able to learn how to unmask, take up space, and live authentically has been a tremendous journey personally and within my career as a mental health therapist and I am excited to walk that path with my clients.
I believe in creating a safe space for individuals to be vulnerable, open, and honest. As we work together, I will use my skills and voice to empower you to share your story. Therapy is a journey and I encourage you to take things one day at a time and know that you are worthy and powerful beyond measures. I want to understand you as a person and hope that you will soon be able to see yourself for who you are and not by what society or your diagnosis tells you. Seeking mental health treatment is a big step and I want to celebrate this journey with you.
