About

My name is Tiffany Bass, and I am a licensed clinician in Texas, Washington, Iowa, and Colorado. I’m passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward healing, growth, and greater self-awareness. I believe that therapy is a powerful space for transformation, and I’m honored to be part of that journey with each of my clients. As a clinician, I value creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported—without judgment. I take a collaborative, client-centered approach, meaning I view you as the expert in your own life, and together we’ll explore what healing and progress look like for you. My work is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My passion for working with autistic and neurodivergent clients grew naturally out of my experience as a Special Education Teacher and Educational Diagnostician. Over the years, I had the privilege of working closely with students and families to support not just academic growth, but social, emotional, and behavioral development as well. I saw firsthand the unique strengths, insights, and needs of neurodivergent individuals—and also how often they are misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or asked to adapt to systems that don’t fully embrace who they are.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I bring an affirming and strength-based approach to my work by grounding myself in the richness of my culture, identity, and lived experiences. I intentionally focus on the resilience, creativity, and wisdom that exist within various communities, choosing to highlight strengths rather than deficits. This means affirming the capabilities and potential of those I work with, using language that uplifts and builds confidence. I draw on values such as —emphasizing connection, collaboration, and mutual care—to foster empowering and respectful relationships. I recognize that lived experience is a form of expertise, and I use my own journey as a source of insight and authenticity in my work. By challenging limiting narratives and amplifying underrepresented voices, I create space for dignity, pride, and self-determination. I also prioritize joy, rest, and self-affirmation as acts of resistance and self-preservation, understanding that my well-being is essential to the work I do. Through this approach, I not only support others in recognizing their power—I lead from a place of wholeness, strength, and cultural pride.
