Hello, my name is Rachel Reed and I am a mental health counselor, licensed in Texas. I received my training at both the University of Phoenix and the University of Arizona. I use an eclectic approach to therapy combining several types of treatment modalities. I follow an approach that honors and meets a person where they are in their journey toward improving mental health. I provide a neurodivergent affirming therapeutic space to help empower people to navigate the world authentically.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I have been working with the autistic community for several years. I am passionate about celebrating people's unique strengths and challenges. I have family members across the neurodivergent spectrum, and this has provided me with the opportunity to have both personal and professional experience in exploring and assisting individual without judgement, fostering self-advocacy and personal growth.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I have a special interest in in working with people with Autism. I set a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental environment. I provide an encouraging style and compassionate guidance to help facilitate and empower people. I feel comfortable and supportive of people who have unique thoughts and behaviors. I try to assist people in embracing and harnessing their individuality to develop new insight and ways to manage their lives.
