About
My name is Jaime Doss. I currently live in south suburbs of Chicago. I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in both Illinois and Florida, and I bring a compassionate, client-centered approach to my work as a therapist. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where clients feel truly heard, respected, and supported. My style is collaborative—I believe in meeting clients where they are, honoring their unique experiences, and empowering them to build on their strengths as they work toward growth and healing.
As a therapist, I’m passionate about working with autistic clients because it allows me to combine clinical skills with creativity and flexibility. Every client is unique, and I appreciate the opportunity to adapt interventions to fit their strengths, interests, and communication styles. I value building trust and creating a space where clients feel safe to be themselves without pressure to mask or fit into neurotypical expectations. For me, it’s rewarding to walk alongside clients as they learn to navigate challenges, celebrate progress, and embrace their own identities. My goal is to provide equity, acceptance, and person-centered care.”
Rather than focusing solely on challenges, I work with clients to recognize and build upon the unique strengths they already possess. My goal is to help each person see themselves more clearly, foster resilience, and create meaningful strategies for growth. I do this by validating their feelings and developing positive rapport.I believe my work is a commitment to compassion, affirmation, and empowerment. I walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s transitions, develop greater self-awareness, and realize their full potential in a way that feels authentic and sustainable
