About

I am a licensed Clinical social worker. My license number is C011910 and I am  dedicated  to supporting artistic adults in navigating life’s challenges and fostering emotional well-being. I earned a Master’s degree of Social Work focusing on  mental health and healthcare from Clark Atlanta University in 2013 and have been a licensed clinical social worker since 2016. With a deep commitment to lifelong learning and culturally competent care, I have pursued formal education in a broad range of evidence-based modalities, including neurodiversity-informed approaches, Motivational Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy, Communication Therapy, Reunification Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I hold specialized certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Trauma Therapy, underscoring their expertise in helping clients process trauma and develop healthier coping strategies.

Treatment Approach

As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I believe that different brains bring different strengths  and that therapy should celebrate, not pathologize, those differences. I strive to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where neurodivergent adults feel deeply understood, respected, and supported. Together, we’ll build a trusting, collaborative relationship where you can explore your experiences freely and develop strategies that truly work for you. I draw from a range of approaches, including neurodiversity-affirming Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness, sensory-friendly techniques, and identity-affirming interventions, all adapted to your unique needs. I specialize in working with neurodivergent adults, including those who identify as autistic, ADHDers, LGBTQ+ or who experience sensory, cognitive, or social differences.

I’ve long been passionate about helping people who experience the world in unique ways feel seen and valued. My own neurodivergent experiences and relationships with neurodivergent friends and family inspired me to become a therapist who could provide affirming, informed support. Over time, I saw how often neurodivergent individuals were misunderstood or pressured to conform, and I felt called to create a therapeutic space where they could feel accepted, celebrated, and supported in building lives that work for them — not just for the world around them.

Many of my clients seek support for navigating masking and unmasking, processing late diagnoses, managing overwhelm or burnout, addressing anxiety or depression, improving self-esteem and other mental health needs including adjustment disorders, mood disorder, trauma, and serious and persistent mental health disorders. I also help clients with relationships, career transitions, and advocating for their needs in neurotypical spaces. My goal is to support you in embracing your neurodivergent identity as a source of strength and authenticity.

In our sessions, you can expect a warm, open, and flexible environment where your communication style, sensory needs, and creative processes are respected. Whether you prefer talking, creating art, using metaphors, writing, or taking breaks, I tailor therapy to what helps you feel comfortable and supported. My style is collaborative, curious, and affirming — helping you feel deeply heard and empowered to express yourself fully, in ways that work best for you.

In our first session, you can expect a warm, relaxed space where you’re free to be yourself — stimming, doodling, or bringing what helps you feel grounded are all welcome. We’ll get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy, your creative passions, your neurodivergent or LGBTQ+ identities, and what supports you best. I’ll answer any questions you have about therapy, and we’ll start exploring your goals and discussing how we can work together in ways that feel affirming, flexible, and centered on your comfort and growth.

I believe therapy goals should center what matters most to you — whether that’s unblocking creativity, building confidence, improving emotional regulation, navigating relationships, processing trauma, or exploring your identity. We’ll define goals together in a way that feels meaningful and achievable for you, and we’ll adjust them as your needs and priorities evolve. My hope is to help you feel empowered to live more authentically, connect more deeply with yourself and others, and celebrate your unique contributions to the world.
