Intro
As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist, I am committed to providing compassionate and effective care utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), within a Person-Centered framework characterized by empathy and unconditional positive regard. Honoring inclusion and cultural sensitivity is central to my approach, and I am deeply committed to the critical importance of cultural considerations in tailoring my treatment to meet each individual's unique needs. My expertise extends to supporting individuals facing challenges related to substance abuse, polysubstance abuse, trauma, and mood disorders, as well as the unique needs of the neurodivergent population, including those with autism. I also bring significant experience in assisting previously incarcerated clients with re-establishing and reintegrating into their communities, focusing on navigating stressors, fostering empowerment, and cultivating autonomy.
I am passionate about supporting autistic individuals in embracing their strengths and navigating challenges with confidence and compassion. It is deeply rewarding to create a safe, affirming space where each person feels understood, valued, and empowered to thrive.
I am particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals, especially those with autism. This passion is rooted in a deep respect for neurodiversity and a desire to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel genuinely valued, understood, and empowered. I believe in highlighting and building upon the unique strengths and perspectives of each individual, and in providing support that promotes personal growth, resilience, and the development of skills that enhance daily life and relationships.
