Greetings! I am Dr. Tanya Goodwin, a proud native of Hamlet, NC. I obtained my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Regent University in 2014. In addition to receiving scientific and professional training in clinical psychology, my educational training included a distinctive Christian approach to mental health.

I have over eight years of experience providing psychological evaluations and treatment. I have mainly specialized in evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorders. This is a population dear to me as I have close family members who are autistic.

As a testing provider, it has been my duty to not only provide a diagnosis, but also share recommendations and prognosis with my patients. This first question many of my patients ask is “How will this impact my ability to live a ‘normal’ life? My response is an autism diagnosis explains the behaviors and provides context for individuals to receive needed services. It is my belief that with the right supports and education about their diagnosis, individuals can live a rewarding life. When formulating recommendations, I use a strength based approach as well as tailor them to each individuals unique needs.
