About
Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Sue (she/her), and I’m a queer, middle-aged licensed therapist based in New York. I love building genuine, caring relationships so that you can thrive. My goal is to support you in finding ways to feel better that ‘stick’. Perhaps you’re struggling to navigate stress or feel overwhelmed about issues that seemingly stand in the way of the relationships, career, or sense of well-being that you crave? It doesn’t have to be that way. I believe healing starts right from the start of our time together. Therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who truly sees and hears you, your resilience as well as your struggles. Let’s do this together.
Everyone deserves a safe space where they can be their true, authentic selves. I’ve often worked in places where neurodivergent folks are misunderstood or feel the need to mask in ways that can be exhausting. My hope is to create an environment where you can exhale, and we can explore ways of being in this world that work for you, with the tools and skills to feel like life can be manageable and successful, however you define that. It’s an honor to support people who bring their creativity and sensitivity into the conversation.
Experience has shown me that individuals can create better lives for themselves when they feel safe to explore their experiences and feelings, and build from their insights, resources and strengths. There is power in being heard and understood as you discover new possibilities and trust in yourself. My work is centered on building genuine relationships, such that you can grow in ways that feel affirmed and empowered. Together, we would co-create a world of authenticity, curiosity, & well-being.
