About

I am a Clinical Psychotherapist & Social Work Practitioner with 14 yrs. of experience (academic & professional). I consistently find unique solutions for issues my clients face, and I am fully knowledgeable about the current thinking on human services and practice. I am committed to a person-centered, systemic approach that promotes independence and well-being for those under my care. I am direct, authentic, compassionate, creative, and simple in my approach. I like to go deep in my collaborative work with my clients, yet I don't take myself too seriously.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My main motivation is that I too am Neurodivergent and I know a great deal about the population. The population is highly misunderstood and I pride myself in holding space for a client who identifies themselves as such. I am able to help my clients build their "toolbox" as it were to help them to to be able to strengthen and to develop a more balanced way of how they and the world see themselves and so that no matter what challenge they encounter they are able to advocate and see themselves just as they are - one fantastic human.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I work with my clients in a way that is authentic, transparent and integrative. This is built all on the basis of validation and making sure that they are being seen and heard. Additionally, navigating within this strengths based approach can only help the client to be able to navigate their emotionality and remain stable as this population can experience challenges that most do not. It is the understanding of this population that is needed on a consistent basis that helps to make this population to be seen with empathy and compassion.
