About

Greetings. My name is Dr. Keyona Thomas and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor. Having worked with children, adolescents, and adults by way of therapy and psychological testing for over 15 years, I have a passion for serving those in need. I strive to, not only hear, but to better understand my consumers. Furthermore, I have developed a love for conducting psychological evaluations in order to partner with you as we put the pieces of the puzzle together to improve quality of life.

Education & Licensure
Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University; Masters of Art in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University; Bachelors of Art in Psychology from Georgetown University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with neurodivergent adults has been my experiences in witnessing a population that is frequently overlooked. My fascination with the varying views and perspectives of those who are neurodivergent has allowed me to learn and grown; both professionally and personally. Yet, this uniqueness of viewing the world from a different perspective is not always understood or embraced. Therefore, I desire to assist others, as well as those who are neurodivergent, to better embrace and understand the beauty in such uniqueness.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

It is important to me that every individual understands their worth and their value. I strongly advocate and assist clients with understanding their cognitive and social-emotional strengths. Once these strengths are identified, I strive to assist with gaining a better understanding of how to use these strengths in order to reach personal goals.
