About
Hello. My name is Jennifer Maddox. I am a current resident of Alabama and I am also licensed in Alabama. I believe that everyone should have a space to feel safe, understood and empowered. I welcome individuals from all walks of life and look forward to building working relationships built on trust, respect, authenticity and emotional safety. Whether you are navigating a recent life change, self acceptance, depression, grief, anxiety or a lasting impact of difficult experiences, I offer a space where you can process, heal, better understand and reconnect with yourself.
I chose to work with the neurodivergent population because I feel that every individual deserves to feel understood, accepted, and supported for who they are. I have a passion for assisting individuals with recognizing their strengths, overcoming challenges and navigating a world that often expects everyone to think, learn and function the same way.
I have an eclectic approach to therapy where I do not believe that one approach suits a situation. I prioritize a person's unique aspects and what they are able to connect with in effort to have more success with overcoming the challenges that they face. I believe that two people can have similar challenges, but have to approach the challenges very different depending on their own unique method of thinking and what they are comfortable with.
