About
I have more than 21 years of diverse practice experience. I have worked with individuals, families, and couples. I have worked in public school systems for 12 years, LGBTQIA clients in a public healthcare setting, with the justice system and residential treatment facilities for 12 years, and in outpatient therapy for 13 years. My personal experience with dyslexia/dysgraphia gives me a unique empathy and insight into Specific Learning Disabilities.
My motivation for working with autistic adults stems from a deep respect for neurodiversity , Personally, I have neurodiversity. I have dysgraphia, so I know the the struggle personally. My nephew is on the autism spectrum so it is not just a professional passion of mine but a personal and familial passion as well.
incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, strength based interventions, and Trauma Informed Care. I am an EMDR practioner. EMDR is a great modality for trauma and other concerns of self and life experiernce.
