About
Welcome -- I'm really glad you are here! I’m Belinda, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with 15 years of experience supporting adults, children, and families. I see therapy as a gentle, collaborative process where your story, your pace, and your comfort matter. My goal is to offer a space where you can show up just as you are and feel genuinely met with care, compassion, and respect. I’m here to help you navigate challenges, strengthen your emotional resilience, and explore the inner parts of yourself that have carried you this far. I believe change grows from feeling understood, so I meet you where you are and walk alongside you at a pace that feels right. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and nurture growth that feels authentic and sustainable.
My motivation for working with neurodivergent individuals comes from seeing the practical, creative, and resilient ways people adapt when the world doesn’t naturally meet their needs. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with individuals on the spectrum and other neurodivergent communities, and I’ve seen firsthand how often people are asked to navigate systems that weren’t built with their needs in mind. That experience has made me especially committed to offering a space where your communication style, sensory needs, and emotional rhythms are understood and respected.
I bring an affirming, strength‑based approach grounded in the belief that everyone has abilities and lived experiences worth honoring. I pay attention to what has supported you in hard moments and the values that guide you, and I reflect those strengths so they feel easier to trust. As the parent of a neurodivergent child, I’ve seen how often systems overlook people’s needs, which strengthens my commitment to offering a space where you feel respected and understood. I tailor our work to what feels most helpful for you, often drawing from Solution‑Focused Therapy to build on what’s already working and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to explore how your thoughts, feelings, and actions connect. We will approach challenges with patience and curiosity while choosing strategies that genuinely fit who you are. My hope is that you feel more grounded in your own capacity and more connected to what matters most in your life.
