About
Hi, I’m Lindy Alexander-Brown, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and affirming space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing journey. My background includes working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, substance use, emotional regulation, self-esteem concerns, and relationship or family stressors. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective and often integrate CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, and person-centered care. What drives me as a provider is helping people better understand themselves, build practical coping tools, and reconnect with their strengths. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, compassionate, and individualized, with room for clients to move at their own pace while working toward meaningful growth and change.
I chose this path because I believe autistic and neurodivergent clients deserve care that is affirming, respectful, and centered on who they are, not on changing them to fit others’ expectations. I am drawn to this work because many neurodivergent individuals are misunderstood or feel pressure to mask, and I want to provide a space where clients feel seen, supported, and accepted. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, build practical tools, strengthen self-advocacy, and create a life that feels authentic and manageable.
I bring an affirming and strength-based approach by focusing on each client’s unique strengths, values, and lived experience. I believe therapy should not center on “fixing” a person, but on helping clients recognize what already exists within them and build upon those strengths in meaningful ways.My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and respect. I strive to create a space where clients feel accepted, empowered, and supported as they develop self-understanding, self-advocacy, confidence, and a stronger sense of possibility in their lives.
