About
Hello there and welcome to my page! Even though I currently reside and practice in Connecticut, my professional journey began in Florida, where I obtained my mental health license in 2013. Since then, I have worked tirelessly to help individuals who struggled with issues such as life transitions, career counseling, relationship counseling, anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues, as well as individual attachment issues. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I believe it takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life, and I applaud you for taking the first steps toward change. I am here to support and empower you in this process.
My motivation for working with autistic adults stems from my life-long interest in and deep respect for neurodiversity, especially given the fact that I am myself a neurodivergent individual. I have always been fascinated by the strengths and resilience, as well as character, of the autistic community, and I strive to provide support that honors each person's unique experiences. I feel that my 12+ years of clinical experience will prove to be extremely helpful while navigating my clients' daily challenges and will help them develop important skills that will enhance their daily lives and relationships. I think together we will prove to be a very strong team!
While trained in multiple clinical orientations such as CBT, DBT, ACT, Trauma-Focused care, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and others, I usually try to tailor my approach based on the individual client. Regardless of the clinical approach, all of them are strength- and evidence-based, and make my clients feel seen and empowered. I strongly believe in the ethical principles of personal choice and autonomy in my work, and I adapt my counseling style to their pace. I always create a safe space for my clients, making sure they feel heard and understood, and knowing they can always express themselves authentically.
