About

My name is Yvette Howes and I am currently licensed in Indiana. I have a passion for delivering person centered care that challenges and accepts individuals wherever they may be on their road to feeling whole. As a clinician, I believe in providing realistic strategies to support the needs of my clients. I enjoy using people's strengths as a means of helping them to develop sustainable behavior patterns for long lasting change.

Education & Licensure
M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Valparaiso University; Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Lakeland University; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Washington University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I have a passion for supporting individuals in finding their own strengths to live their best lives. I bring a person-centered approach to my therapeutic work that is transparent and supportive. I believe that my love for working with neurodiversity stems from my love for seeing the world through a lens that challenges the ordinary. My goal is to help individuals accept themselves for their uniqueness and to challenge the stigma that is so pervasive in our culture.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I value an affirming and transparent approach to care. I believe in the dignity of every client and that each session should honor the experience of the individual. I listen reflectively with the goal of helping clients to discover their own strengths and authenticity.
