About
Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Whitney Nasse. I live in Denver, Colorado, and am licensed to practice as a psychologist in Colorado. My clinical background is grounded in forensic and correctional behavioral health, which shaped how I show up with clients: steady, direct, and deeply attuned to the ways systems and environments impact a person's sense of safety and agency. My goal is to partner with you, creating a space where you feel truly heard, and to help you find resilience and uncover strengths as we work through whatever brings you here.
My motivation for working with autistic adults comes from a deep respect for neurodiversity and a belief that every person deserves care that meets them as they actually are, not as systems have historically expected them to be. I'm inspired by the resilience, insight, and self-advocacy I see in the autistic community, often built out of navigating spaces that weren't designed with them in mind. My goal is to help clients feel understood on their own terms, build on the strengths they already carry, and develop tools that make daily life and relationships feel more workable and less exhausting.
I bring an affirming, strengths-based lens to every session. I don't approach autism or neurodivergence as something to fix, I approach it as a different way of experiencing and moving through the world, one with real strengths worth naming and building on. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community and founder of a queer community organization in Denver, I also bring a particular attentiveness to how identity, community, and belonging intersect with mental health, and I try to hold space for the whole person, not just the presenting concern.
