About

Therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard, not just heard out. I'm Wendy Green, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York, and that belief shapes everything about how I practice.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, self-esteem concerns, and women's issues. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for a change, my approach is flexible and shaped around what you actually need, not a one-size-fits-all model.

In our work together, I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy. In practice, this means we'll explore your experiences, identify patterns that aren't serving you, and build practical strategies that support real growth and well-being.

Education & Licensure
Master's of Social Work from Fordham University, New York City; Bachelor's in Psychology from Hunter College, New York City
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My desire to work with neurodivergent/autistic adults comes from my work with toddlers on the Spectrum. My work with the toddlers tends to focus on how we can help change or shape their behaviors in order to help them to blend into society's "norms". Conversely, working with the adult neurodivergent/autistic population, will allow me to help individuals toward a path of self-acceptance and empowerment, not conformity and shrinking who he/she/they are.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I have always utilized a strengths-based perspective when working with clients to help them see themselves as valuable and capable individuals. While they may be seen as different, and perhaps made to feel "less than", I will affirm each client by listening to their fears, thoughts, and feelings without judgment.
