Hello and welcome! I’m so happy for a chance to be able to work together. My name is Victoria Liao and I currently live in Lakewood, OH and am licensed in both Ohio and California. I’m passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to having greater insight and diagnostic clarity. As a psychologist, I believe in the importance of creating a safe and compassionate space where you feel seen and understood so that we can get an accurate diagnosis. My goal is to work with you in achieving a better understanding about your mental health symptoms. Everyone’s journey is unique and I’m dedicated to taking your diagnostic concerns seriously.
My passion and dedication to working with individuals with neurodivergence started with seeing the struggles of a family member navigate a complex and challenging system in both the school and the community. This experience led me to seek both my clinical and school psychology degree and certification respectively as I wanted to be able to better understand and support individuals through the multiple systems that were barriers to success. My goal is to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of their personal characteristics that may be impacting their life through diagnostic accuracy so that an appropriate and personalized treatment plan can be developed.
I believe it is essential that the individual feels seen, heard, valued, and empowered so that we can provide the most accurate diagnosis. Often times, I have seen where the diagnosis is inaccurate due to the individual not feeling safe to open up about all of their symptoms which I want to try and avoid happening so I strive to provide a safe and open environment so that the client can feel open in expressing all of their symptoms.
