About
Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Dr. Vicki Papaemanuel, and I live in Pasco County, Florida, where I'm licensed to practice. I hold a Ph.D. from the University of South Florida, and I've spent more than two decades working across school systems, mental health services, and clinical practice. I'm passionate about creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported — one where your voice guides the work we do together.
My path to working with autistic and neurodivergent clients grew out of years spent inside school systems, where I saw firsthand how often neurodivergent students and families were asked to fit into structures that weren't built with them in mind. That experience shaped how I think about care: not as a process of "fixing" someone, but as a partnership that honors how a person actually thinks, communicates, and experiences the world. I'm inspired by the resilience and insight I see in the neurodivergent community, and my goal is to help you build on what already works for you — so you can move through daily life and relationships feeling more understood and more like yourself.
I bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to every session. Rather than centering what needs to be corrected, I start with what's already working — your strengths, your instincts, your ways of coping — and build from there. I try to meet you where you are, offering honest, clear feedback in a way that feels supportive rather than clinical, so you never have to guess where you stand with me. I pair that openness with encouragement, so that even hard conversations feel safe. I keep our sessions flexible, adapting to what you need in the moment rather than following a rigid script. Whatever you're navigating, my hope is that you leave our work together feeling understood, capable, and equipped to move forward in a way that feels true to you.
