About

Hello! My name is Tuesday Tauchen and I'm a licensed psychologist in the state of Virginia. I enjoy working with and learning from diverse groups of people on an individual basis. The most rewarding aspect of my career in psychology is having the opportunity to support others in fostering a deeper understanding of their emotional, social and general life experiences. We are each going through unique walks of life and I look forward to learning and growing along with you.

Education & Licensure

PsyD (psychology doctorate) from American School of Professional Psychology, Washington DC campus; Masters of Science in clinical psychology from PsyD from American School of Professional Psychology, Washington DC campus; Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Mississippi College, Clinton, MS.

Treatment Approach

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I believe we are each distinctive individuals, who despite our many differences, have just as many- if not more- similarities. I enjoy finding ways to relate with and understand each person who I might have the privilege of getting to work with in a clinical framework.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

One of the coolest things about learning from others is that I get to see so many unique qualities and strengths that people have- some individuals are more aware of their gifts than others. During my sessions I very much enjoy the process of building a working relationship and identifying and highlighting people's gifts and strengths. I believe this is one of the best ways I can offer encouragement. When we can work together to identify ways to use and build upon our talents and strengths, then we are truly living!
