About
Welcome and thank you for reaching out for self-care. Asking for support can be one of the most courageous acts we can do for ourselves. My name is Treva and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York. I’ve spent most of my life in Upstate New York where I completed school and worked in a variety of roles in business and health care. I am a late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman in my 50s, which gives me both personal and professional insight into the complicated emotions that have tagged along with my journey after diagnosis. I would be honored to walk beside you in your journey towards your life vision.
Whether you are navigating neurodivergence, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, school, work, relationships, or simply trying to better understand yourself, you do not have to do it alone. I believe healing begins in spaces where we feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.
A late diagnosis can bring so many feelings at once — relief, grief, validation, anger, clarity, sadness, shame, guilt, and hope. It can help explain parts of a painful and confusing past while also opening the door to new questions about identity, needs, relationships, work, school, and self-advocacy. I understand how exhausting it can feel to constantly overexplain yourself, and overthink. The most painful part is feeling like you need to defend yourself against those who assume your requests for simple accommodations are excuses to get special treatment. Sometimes you can’t help but wonder if your needs are “too much.” The most important need during this time is support from people who genuinely want to help you perform to your potential.
In our work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and accepted as you are. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, strengths based ,and affirming. I want you to feel comfortable exploring your experiences without fear of judgment or pressure to mask who you are.
