About
Greetings! My name is Tracy Lynn Salazar. I live in and am licensed in Colorado. Do you ever get bored with Talk Therapy? I never do because I’m a Therapist!Besides routine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I am also a Certified EMDR Therapist, Qigong Instructor, and Shadow Work Coach. I am a warm and nurturing therapist as well as a direct communicator. I like to use humor in therapy. You can expect sessions to include brain and body work as I like to combine gentle or dynamic body movements with breath work and mindfulness, as well as Art and Music Therapy. If you have tried therapy before and it fell short, I encourage you to schedule a one hour intake or free 10 minute consultation to find out if we are a good fit. I look forward to collaborating with you as we explore out of the box ideas. Let me show you how to breathe the light back into your life.
When I was in ten years old, my mom was become a nurse; and she was completing her psychiatric rotation at the state hospital. One night she fell asleep at her desk while studying. I climbed down from my bunk bed to turn off her desk lamp. The light was illuminating words in her journal. Her journal was filled with sentences describing folks suffering from depression, anxiety, psychosis, and addiction with very little family coming to visit them. Although I was so young, I was inspired to become a person that would show up for people so that they didn't have to walk the journey of healing alone.
I take an affirming, strengths‑based approach rooted in the belief that every individual carries inherent resilience and wisdom. My role is to help clients recognize and build on those strengths as they navigate challenges and pursue meaningful purpose and/or change. I listen deeply, validate their experiences, and create a space where they feel safe to show up authentically and explore their goals with confidence
