About

Hello- I'm so glad you're here. I live in the Kansas City, MO area and am licensed in MO, KS, FL, AND IL. I use unconditional positive regard, highly value the importance of a trusting relationship with my clients, and work to help clients develop self-awareness and vulnerability to work towards becoming their authentic selves. I have worked with individuals and couples, serving clients from approximately 4 years old through adulthood. I've worked with clients treating conditions including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, trauma, addictions, ADHD, divorce, faith/spiritual exploration/healing, neurodiversity, and relational and identity issues. I am passionate about creating an LGBTQ+ and neuro- affirming space. I aim to create a vulnerable, trusting relationship that honors my client's stories, recognizing the courage it takes to create change and healing in their lives, and walking with them through every step of their journey.

Education & Licensure
Bachelors in Child Development from the University of Missouri- Columbia; Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a dual emphasis in School Counseling and Mental Health, a specialty in Spiritual Formation, and is a Registered Play Therapist.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I am passionate about working with neurodiverse clients and creating a space for them to feel safe and honor their experience as individuals. It is important to me to help my clients gain awareness of how they best function in the world, to honor their own needs and care well for them, and to be able to show up in an authentic way. My goal is to meet each client where they are and collaboratively work together towards their goals for their life.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach to therapy is a person-centered, experiential approach, acknowledging the importance of awareness and understanding our emotions and how they influence our thoughts and behaviors. I lead clients in sessions in a non-directive manner, allowing the client to invite me into the areas they need/want healing in and want to work on. I use an integrative modality of therapy, to provide the most beneficial therapeutic experience for each client.
