About
Hello and welcome! My name is Dr. Tracey Meyers. I’m a clinical psychologist based in Connecticut with more than 25 years of experience working with adults across a wide range of clinical settings. I am licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, California, New Mexico, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii, and I am authorized to provide telepsychology in participating PSYPACT states. My background includes neuropsychology, psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and integrative mind-body approaches. What I have always loved most about this work is getting to know people and helping them make sense of their experiences. I approach assessment with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine interest in understanding the whole person—not simply arriving at a diagnosis. My hope is that you leave the process feeling understood and with greater clarity about yourself and the way you experience the world.
Throughout my career, I have cared deeply about helping people feel understood and accepted for who they are. I have been especially committed to working with autistic and neurodivergent adults in ways that honor and affirm their individual experiences, identities, and strengths. My background in neuropsychology, together with my longstanding work in mindfulness and mind-body approaches, has shaped my understanding of the important relationship between the brain, body, emotions, and the environments in which we live. I bring this whole-person perspective to understanding each individual and their unique experience of the world. For many adults, an evaluation can be about much more than receiving a diagnosis. It can provide a framework for understanding experiences that may have felt confusing or difficult to explain for years, while also recognizing the strengths, adaptations, and unique qualities that have been present all along. I find it especially meaningful to help people develop a deeper and more compassionate understanding of themselves—and to leave the assessment process feeling more understood, affirmed, and confident in who they are.
I bring a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to each assessment. I take time to listen to your story, understand what has brought you to the evaluation, and learn about both the challenges you have experienced and the strengths and strategies you have developed along the way. I integrate assessment findings with your history and lived experience to develop a comprehensive understanding of you as an individual.I also recognize that seeking an autism evaluation as an adult can bring up many different emotions. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your perspective, and being yourself throughout the process. My goal is to provide an evaluation that is thorough, thoughtful, and affirming, and that offers greater clarity and information that is genuinely useful moving forward.
