About
Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Thomas and I work with navigating dating, breakups, trust, boundaries, anxiety, and difficult decisions. With over 17 years of clinical experience, he offers a supportive, straightforward, and judgment-free place to better understand yourself. Are you struggling in a relationship, questioning whether the person you're dating is right for you, or repeating the same painful patterns? I am here to help!
I developed a passion for working with the neurodivergent community while working in graduate school with teens diagnosed with ASD. I received my Master of Social Work in 2009 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas after completing a rigorous clinical mental health program composed entirely of evidence-based treatments. In 2012, I completed my Master of Addiction Counseling (NAADAC) following years of verified practice experience and examination processes. I have held the highest level of licensing in clinical social work since 2011 and the highest level of licensing in substance use disorders since 2015. I have 10 years of experience working as a clinician in the Department of the Army and the Department of Veterans Affairs. I was a clinical team lead at the VA Loma Linda Mental Health Access Clinic for approximately three years. I have routinely worked with adults diagnosed with ASD for the past 6 years in my private practice and especially in regards to having healthy, successful relationships.
I believe in recognizing each individual's unique strengths, perspectives, and abilities rather than focusing solely on challenges or limitations. Drawing on my extensive clinical experience and utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I provide a compassionate, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming approach. I respect the distinct ways autistic individuals experience and navigate the world, helping clients build upon their existing strengths, develop greater self-understanding, and pursue meaningful goals while remaining authentic to themselves.
