About
Greetings! Glad you are here. I’m Theresa (she/her), a clinical social worker licensed and residing in Ohio. While I’ve been lucky to have a variety of experiences in the mental health field, my biggest passion is providing a safe, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic space for individuals navigating anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, life transitions, early adulthood, as well as those exploring their identify, direction, and sense of self. I have additional backgrounds providing clinical support for folks on both sides of the experience with substance use/addiction and trauma-focused care.
I am especially motivated to work with autistic and neurodivergent adults because it offers an opportunity to honor the whole person beyond a diagnosis, perceived limitations, or societal expectations. As someone who received a late diagnosis myself, I also have a deeper understanding that gaining a new perspective on one’s life can bring both relief and grief. It can mean reexamining past experiences, making sense of long-held struggles, redefining self-worth, and learning to embrace a more authentic sense of self. These experiences have extended my appreciation for the importance of self-empowerment, compassion, and collaborating with others in challenging the belief that we must meet certain expectations to be “good enough.”
My approach is flexible and eclectic, drawing on a variety of therapeutic tools (DBT, CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy) and strategies to find what works best for you. Together, we can explore practical approaches to everyday challenges, build on your strengths, and work toward greater self-understanding, confidence, and self-actualization. My goal is to help you feel empowered to navigate life in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you, at your own pace and on your own terms.
