About
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist based in San Francisco, California, where I also maintain a private practice. My clinical background includes extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and adults navigating a wide range of psychological concerns, identity development, and life transitions. I’m passionate about providing affirming, individualized care that recognizes and celebrates the diversity of human experiences. My approach to autism assessment is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I recognize that autism presents differently across individuals, particularly among adults whose experiences may have been overlooked, misunderstood, or masked for years. I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and perspectives. What I find most rewarding about diagnostic work is helping individuals develop a deeper understanding of themselves. I believe that an accurate diagnosis can offer more than just answers—it can provide validation, greater self-awareness, and opportunities for meaningful personal growth and self-advocacy.
Throughout my clinical work, particularly with LGBTQIA+ individuals and other historically underserved populations, I’ve seen how meaningful it can be for someone to finally feel understood and have language for experiences they may have struggled to make sense of for years. I’ve also seen how neurodivergence can be overlooked or misunderstood, especially when individuals have spent much of their lives adapting to the expectations of others. My interest in autism assessment comes from a desire to help bridge that gap. I believe everyone deserves access to thoughtful, affirming evaluations that recognize their unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. What motivates me most is the opportunity to help individuals better understand themselves, feel validated in their experiences, and move forward with greater clarity and self-acceptance.
My approach is grounded in the belief that neurodiversity is a natural part of human variation and that each individual brings a unique set of strengths, perspectives, and experiences. Rather than viewing autism solely through the lens of challenges or deficits, I strive to understand the whole person, recognizing both their strengths and the ways their environment may influence their experiences. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the importance of affirming care and creating spaces where individuals can explore their identities without judgment or pressure to conform to societal expectations. I bring this perspective to my work with neurodivergent clients by prioritizing collaboration, curiosity, and respect for each person's lived experience. My goal is to help clients recognize their strengths, develop greater self-understanding, and feel empowered to advocate for their needs while living authentically.
