About
Hello there! I am glad you are here!I am an LPCC serving clients in Ohio, offering compassionate, culturally responsive therapy. I create a space where clients feel their identities and backgrounds are valued while we explore their experiences and build practical strategies for growth. My work in community mental health centers included working with neurodivergent clients. I have also worked with clients navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, eating disorders, PTSD, and self-esteem concerns. I stay curious, keep learning from the people I work with, and adapt care to fit each client’s complexity.
In community mental health, I worked closely with autistic clients and developed a deep respect for their resilience—their determination to build fulfilling lives and show up for themselves, even when systems weren’t built for them. This aspect inspired me to study further and sharpen my clinical skills. I take an affirming, client-led approach. My goal is to help clients navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and develop skills that enhance their daily lives and relationships.
I utilize the strengths-based, affirming approach by focusing on a client’s inherent skills, resilience, and assets rather than their deficits, fostering empowerment and self-efficacy. This approach is brought to life by active listening, collaborative goal-setting, reframing challenges as opportunities for growth. Also, depending on each person’s need, we may focus on sensory-soothing strategies, unmasking, trauma processing, self-advocacy, and treatment for co-occurring conditions.
