About
Hi my name is Sue, I'm from Queens, NY and I'm excited to go on this journey with you. My therapeutic approach is holistic and grounded in the belief that the mind and body are deeply connected. I believe that wellness extends beyond the therapy room and that meaningful healing involves nurturing all aspects of ourselves.
In addition to the work we do together in therapy, I encourage building a strong sense of community, nourishing your body through healthy choices, and cultivating meaningful relationships and connections.
My goal is to support you in developing a strong foundation of self-awareness, healthy habits, and a reliable support system so that you can feel empowered and equipped to thrive.
I began my career as an ABA therapist and immediately felt a strong connection to the population I worked with. However, I found that certain aspects of ABA therapy didn't fully align with my perspective, which led me to explore a more neuroaffirming approach. I was drawn to techniques that prioritize each individual's unique needs and strengths, rather than trying to make them fit into society's expectations. There is still so much to learn about autism, and I believe it's important to remain open to learning and growing. My clients continue to teach me so much and help shape my perspective. My goal is to continually find ways to improve the field.
I believe everyone has their own unique strengths, abilities, and talents, and I want to help you recognize and build upon those qualities. I take a strengths-based approach and tailor my sessions to your individual needs, focusing on what makes you who you are rather than what needs to be changed. My goal is to help you embrace your strengths and learn how to use them to navigate life's challenges and thrive.
