Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Stuti Patel, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois. I specialize in psychological evaluations, including assessments for neurodivergent individuals. I approach evaluations as a collaborative process and am here to work closely with you to understand your unique experiences, strengths and challenges. As a clinician, I strive to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and respectful of your individuality during the assessment process. I am passionate about helping people heal, grow, and reconnect with their strengths that make them who they are. Together, we will focus on these strengths to help you thrive and live a more fulfilling, empowered life.
I have always been drawn to working with neurodivergent individuals because of both my professional experiences and my deep appreciation for neurodiversity. Early in my career, I interned in community mental health supporting individuals with autism, which gave me a real understanding of their unique strengths and challenges. I have also seen how often neurodivergent individuals are misunderstood and how much misinformation exists. This motivates me to provide evaluations that are collaborative, validating, and grounded in respect.
During my evaluative process, I use an empathetic, non-judgmental, and strength-based approach. I prioritize creating a safe space where individuals feel comfortable sharing their experiences while respecting their individuality. I actively listen for both challenges and strengths in each person's story, and using these insights to understand them and make recommendations to help them align with their values, personal goals, and deepen their connection with their authentic selves.
