About

As a PSYPACT credentialed, clinical neuropsychologist I prefer to relate with you from your perspective as you guide me through the story of your life. Along with your own resources and reference points together the puzzle of you unfolds as the missing pieces are integrated into a whole version of you that makes the most sense. This has been my process of report writing for decades.  I am particularly concentrated on identifying the complexities of you and explaining the results in an easy-to-understand way. As pertinent information is gathered, I generate possible hypotheses to offer conclusive results to your story based on the information you provide. Working with a broad spectrum of individuals with autism from severe to very high functioning, has been my journey for over 40-years. I have been administering assessments as well as reporting to teams for several decades and have witnessed the progression in the field. I can honestly say that Prosper Health really does care about you and strives to provide Gold Standard clinical assistance in your search about yourself.

Education & Licensure
As a Florida Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Massage Therapist; lifelong learner, my education includes a Bachelors Degree in Psychology (Cum Laude) from Saint Leo College, two Master’s Degrees; one in Education from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana and another in Clinical Psychology with Distinction as well as a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology from Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida (GPA: 3.828).
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My initial motivation continues to build on an evolutionary foundation of resilience to understand unique components of how your internal ideas interrelate with external connections by stepping into your way of thinking to better understand your true essence. As an introvert, searching for unique words to say, has been my passion for as long as I can remember. As Lisa Randall, physicist and cosmologist alluded, sometimes a single word or short passage is worth a thousand pictures rather than the other way around. Throughout my career, I continue to find myself employed with companies that have an identified autism adult population; in Florida, Indiana, and California; which, at the time, was deemed the best state in the country for receiving autism services. I signed on with Prosper Health because I believe that each individual has a right to discover optimal aspects about the self that encourage and inspire the pursuit of a better quality of life and I welcome the opportunity to contribute with you along your journey.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

Recognizing the first choice is neither the only option nor the only idea in mind, adds to the depth of understanding I can bring to you as you explore and discover your unique ways of supporting your personal and professional strengths and values that are most meaningful for you. I strive to optimize mirrored resources borrowed from Authentic Happiness Coaching with Dr. Martin Seligman, the founder of Positive Psychology, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Meditation Teaching as well as influences from my father’s scientifically minded Engineering perspective and my mother’s artistically sensitive mind-set to inspire a positive outlook as you determine and build on your unique life preferences and styles of relating.
