Sherry Hanna
About
Welcome. My name is Sherry Hanna, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I am dedicated to supporting individuals as they work toward increased emotional wellness, self-awareness, and personal growth. My counseling approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique experiences. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we will work to identify strengths, build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and navigate life’s challenges in a way that supports meaningful and lasting change.
My motivation for working with autistic adults is grounded in a deep respect for neurodiversity and a commitment to creating supportive environments where individuals feel valued, understood, and empowered. I am inspired by the strengths, perspectives, and resilience within the autistic community, and I strive to provide person-centered support that honors each individual’s lived experience, autonomy, and unique needs.
My counseling approach is affirming, strengths-based, and client-centered, with an emphasis on helping each individual feel respected, valued, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. I believe every client brings unique strengths, abilities, and lived experiences that can support growth, resilience, and meaningful progress toward personal goals. I strive to listen with empathy, validate each client’s experiences, and provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can express themselves authentically.
