About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.  I have a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner strengths. With several years of experience in the mental health field, I specialize in working with adults and adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and building skills for effective coping. My approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, brainspotting, DBT, and solution-focused therapy. I believe in creating a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful change.I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, and am committed to ongoing professional development to provide the best care for my clients. Whether you're facing a difficult situation or seeking personal growth, I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing and resilience.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Often times people may find themselves feeling overwhelmed and needing a recharge to find balance.  Other times, strategies are needed to learn to cope and modify troubling behavioral issues with home, school and the community setting.  I have the passion, dedication and experience in helping individuals set goals and make effective changes in their daily functioning. My aim in working with autistic adults is to provide a supportive, affirming, and empowering space where they can explore their identities, navigate challenges, and build on their strengths. I strive to understand each individual's unique way of experiencing the world, and to collaborate with them in ways that respect their autonomy, communication style, and lived experience.Rather than focusing on "fixing" or changing core traits, my goal is to support emotional well-being, reduce anxiety or overwhelm, and help clients develop tools that work for them. This might include working through sensory sensitivities, social fatigue, masking/burnout, or navigating employment and relationships in neurotypical spaces.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I create a safe and supportive space where clients feel valued for who they truly are, encouraging them to explore their identities and develop strategies that align with their authentic selves. Rather than trying to change or “fix” aspects of autism, I collaborate with clients to enhance their well-being, resilience, and self-advocacy—helping them realize their full potential in all areas of life.Through this strength-based perspective, my commitment is to empower autistic adults to thrive on their own terms, embracing their individuality and leading fulfilling, meaningful lives.
