About

Hello, and welcome! I am a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Tennessee, and I am passionate about creating meaningful connections and providing a supportive, affirming space where individuals feel genuinely seen, heard, understood, and valued. My work includes supporting autistic and neurodivergent individuals as they navigate self-discovery, develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and learn to recognize and embrace the unique qualities that make them who they are.One of my greatest goals as a provider is to help create a therapeutic experience where you feel that you do not have to mask, minimize your differences, or change who you are to be accepted. I want you to feel comfortable showing up as your authentic self, knowing that your experiences, perspectives, and ways of experiencing the world are welcomed and respected. I am committed to helping you move beyond the limitations of societal expectations and discover your own definitions of growth, success, happiness, and fulfillment.

Education & Licensure

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My passion for working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals developed several years ago during a practicum experience that profoundly influenced my professional journey. During this experience, I had the opportunity to work alongside individuals as they explored and developed a greater understanding of their unique experiences. Being able to play a meaningful role in helping individuals make sense of their experiences, recognize their strengths, and better understand themselves was incredibly rewarding. That experience solidified my desire to continue working with this population and to create spaces where autistic and neurodivergent individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered.I believe that neurodivergence is not something that needs to be fixed or changed. Rather, individuals deserve the opportunity to understand themselves in a world that does not always recognize or accommodate their differences. I am passionate about helping clients move beyond societal expectations and embrace their authentic selves without feeling pressured to conform to traditional standards of what is considered "normal."

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach is grounded in compassion, affirmation, and a strengths-based perspective. I believe in recognizing and building upon what individuals already bring to the table rather than focusing solely on challenges, deficits, or perceived limitations. Every individual has unique abilities, interests, perspectives, and strengths that deserve to be acknowledged and nurtured.I strive to meet each client where they are, honoring their individual experiences, needs, and personal goals. My goal is to create a safe and affirming therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their identities, developing self-awareness, building confidence, and advocating for themselves. I believe meaningful growth happens when individuals are empowered to recognize their own capabilities and are supported in navigating life in ways that align with who they truly are.Ultimately, my mission is to help individuals recognize that they do not have to change who they are to be successful, valued, or worthy of acceptance. I want every person I work with to understand that their differences are not shortcomings, their strengths deserve to be celebrated, and they are capable of creating a fulfilling life that reflects their authentic selves.
