About
As a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor, I believe that healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and genuinely understood. My passion is helping individuals navigate life's most difficult moments with compassion, evidence-based care, and a deep respect for each person's unique story. Whether someone is working through trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or the lasting effects of difficult experiences, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where meaningful growth and healing can take place.
I live in Southwest Louisiana and am licensed to provide counseling services in both Louisiana, Georgia, Minnesota, Ohio, and Arizona. Over the past 16 years, I have built a diverse background in counseling psychology, social work, case management, and criminal justice, giving me a well-rounded perspective on the many factors that influence emotional well-being. My experience includes outpatient therapy, forensic psychological evaluations, crisis intervention, and telehealth services, allowing me to work with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.
As a trauma-informed clinician trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I am committed to helping clients move beyond surviving toward truly thriving. My goal is to meet every client with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and practical tools that foster resilience, healing, and lasting change. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people as they rediscover their strengths and build the life they envision for themselves.
My passion for counseling comes from a deep belief that no one should have to face life's challenges alone. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals who have experienced trauma, loss, crisis, and significant life transitions. Time and again, I've witnessed the incredible resilience of the human spirit and the healing that becomes possible when people are met with compassion rather than judgment.
I chose this profession because I wanted to create a space where people feel safe enough to be vulnerable, empowered enough to grow, and supported enough to discover that healing is possible. I know that reaching out for help can be one of the hardest steps a person takes, and I don't take that trust lightly.
As a bilingual counselor, I also understand the importance of feeling understood—not just through language, but through culture, lived experiences, and genuine human connection. My goal is to meet each client where they are, honor their unique journey, and work collaboratively to help them build healthier relationships, develop practical coping skills, and create lasting, meaningful change.
For me, counseling is more than a profession—it's a calling to help people find hope, reclaim their strength, and move forward with confidence, one step at a time.
I bring an affirming and strengths-based approach to my work by creating a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. I believe every person has inherent strengths, resilience, and the capacity for growth, even when life's challenges make those qualities difficult to recognize. My role is to help clients reconnect with those strengths while providing evidence-based tools and compassionate guidance to navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. As a trauma-informed, bilingual therapist, I strive to foster a culturally responsive environment where clients feel safe to share their experiences openly and without judgment. Through collaboration, curiosity, and empathy, we work together to build on what is already working, develop new coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change that aligns with each client's values and goals.
