Scott Peebles
About
Hello and welcome! I am Scott Peebles, a licensed psychologist in Georgia with 20+ years of experience in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. I am passionate about supporting individuals who are seeking greater self-understanding and support in their efforts to enhance their health and well-being. My goal is to provide a thorough, evidence-based, compassionate, and useful evaluation that will help develop a road map for moving forward.
My motivation for working with adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder stems from a great desire to provide clarity, support, and care for individuals who have long been under-served by the health care system. I find great professional and personal fulfillment in helping individuals piece together the puzzle to help explain the challenges they face in life. I am consistently impressed with the resilience, strength, unique perspectives, and skills of those living with ASD. Psychological assessment can be invaluable in providing validation, clarity, and support for such individuals. My goal is to provide a collaborative, respectful, and individualized assessment that results in clients feeling supported and understood.
I approach every psychological assessment I conduct from a strengths-based and validating perspective, rather than focusing on psychopathology or "what's wrong with" an individual. I strongly believe in viewing every client as a unique individual with unique perspectives, strengths, abilities, and resilience factors that help in navigating challenges and goal attainment. I want every client I see to feel empowered, listened to, and more equipped to move to achieve their goals. I actively listen to each client to work to understand their experiences and emotional responses, with the goal of providing a safe space for authentic expression.
