About

Hi and Welcome! I’m so glad you are taking this first step toward greater self understanding, which is often the hardest part. My name is Sarah Jabbour and I am a licensed  psychologist in California, Tennessee, and Georgia. I currently live in Tennessee, but welcome you from wherever you are! I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward greater well being and self awareness. I would be honored to help you on your journey to find clarity and uncover your unique strengths as we work together to address life’s challenges. My number one priority is creating a safe and compassionate, affirming space where you can relax and be yourself during the assessment process.

Education & Licensure
PhD in Counseling Psychology from Penn State University; Clinical Internship at UCLA; Masters in Community Counseling from Georgia State University; Bachelors in Psychology from Georgia Tech
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with autistic adults stems from a deep respect for neurodiversity and a passion for fostering a space where every individual feels valued and empowered. I grew up with family members who were never given the opportunity to seek help for neurodiversity and can speak firsthand to the challenges and hardships that occur without support and affirming resources. I am inspired by the strengths, perspectives, and resilience of the autistic community, and I strive to provide support that honors each person’s unique experiences. My goal is to help clients navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and develop skills that enhance their daily lives and relationships. Together, we can work toward a life where you feel understood, supported, and able to thrive.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I believe assessment is a tool to help us find answers and understand ourselves more fully, and I use it for that purpose. Ultimately, we are complex, holistic human beings with a wide range of strengths and challenges. As a woman and a psychologist, I’m passionate and specifically trained to understand how gender, race, ethnicity, and the dominant culture affect our development and identities. I am also genuinely curious to get to know and understand you and your unique experience. I naturally prioritize an affirming and strengths-based approach so that we feel seen, valued, and empowered.
