About
Hello! I’m Dr. Sara Lieppe, a licensed psychologist in Colorado, and my passion and specialization is in working with neurodivergent individuals. One of the main ways I support people is through providing thoughtful, thorough evaluations. My approach is strengths-based and affirming. I start by listening carefully to each person’s story and honoring their lived experience. I highlight the qualities, talents, and perspectives that make them who they are, while also recognizing the areas where support may be helpful. My goal is to make evaluations as clear, respectful, and comfortable as possible, in a warm, welcoming and safe environment.
My motivation for this work comes from a deep respect for neurodiversity and a passion for creating spaces where each and every individual is valued and understood. Over the years, I’ve been continually inspired by the strengths, perspectives, and resilience of the autistic and neurodivergent community. I’ve seen how powerful it can be when someone finally has their experiences recognized and validated, and I want to be a part of that process.
I prioritize a strengths-based approach, as I believe every client brings unique strengths, abilities, and perspectives that can be harnessed to navigate challenges and achieve personal goals. By actively listening and validating experiences, I strive to foster a sense of empowerment and authenticity. I do not see autism as something to be “fixed,” but as a meaningful part of who you are. During an evaluation, I focus on understanding your unique perspective, the abilities you bring, and the ways your brain processes the world. At the same time, we will explore the challenges that may make daily life harder, so you can have a clearer picture of both your strengths and your needs.
