About

Hi there! I’m Sandhya Saeman, a licensed therapist, and I’m deeply passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life’s complex transitions, heal from loss, and untangle the weight of perfectionism. Based in Wisconsin—where I earned both my bachelor’s in social work and my master’s in mental health therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee—my drive as a provider stems from a simple belief: no matter how stuck or overwhelmed you might feel right now, you already possess unique strengths that can help you heal and grow.

Education & Licensure
I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work and my master’s degree in mental health therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My professional background includes extensive training in crisis intervention, intergenerational family relationships, adolescent issues, and working with high-risk populations. Over the years, I have counseled clients facing a wide range of challenges, including eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This diverse experience allows me to meet you where you are and comfortably support clients from all backgrounds.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I chose to become a therapist because I genuinely believe in the transformative power of human connection, particularly during the moments when life feels most overwhelming or uncertain. My path into mental health therapy stemmed from a deep desire to ensure that no one has to navigate life’s transitions, perfectionism, or painful losses alone. Every day, I am driven by a passion to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel truly seen and valued, helping you unearth your inherent strengths so you can move past constraints and cultivate deep, meaningful healing.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I take a systemic, strengths-based approach to help clients navigate and improve their relationships. Using an integrative model of change, I draw upon the strengths of various therapeutic theories to tailor my approach to your unique, identified needs. I believe that we all encounter constraints in life that can impede our ability to identify and reach our goals. Looking through this lens, I often start on a behavioral level to help you create practical changes in action. If you still feel stuck, we’ll move deeper together—addressing underlying cognitions and emotions to pinpoint exactly where your progress is being held back.Throughout this process, I bring patience to the therapeutic journey. My goal is to provide a safe, secure space where you feel comfortable processing your vulnerabilities at your own pace.
