About
Hi, I’m Sam. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Ohio. I’ve spent the past decade working with people across a variety of mental health settings including outpatient therapy, community mental health, school-based services, and private practice. What keeps me connected to this work is helping people feel understood and supported as they make sense of themselves and the challenges they’re facing. My style is warm, conversational, and collaborative. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be yourself and work toward meaningful change in a way that feels right for you.
I am drawn to working with autistic and neurodivergent adults because I’ve seen how often people reach adulthood feeling misunderstood or like they have spent years trying to fit into expectations that were never designed for them. I’m passionate about creating a space where you don’t have to mask or feel like you need to change who you are to be understood. I want to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and find strategies that genuinely work for you. What I find most meaningful about this work is seeing clients become more confident in who they are and begin building lives that feel more authentic and sustainable
My approach centers on helping you recognize the strengths you already have and build on them. As a neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ therapist, I understand how meaningful it can be to feel seen without having parts of yourself treated as problems to fix. Therapy is shaped around your needs and the way you communicate. The goal is to build greater self-understanding while finding strategies that genuinely work for you. My work may include CBT and DBT as well as mindfulness. I also use trauma-informed and IFS parts-based approaches to support meaningful growth while honoring who you are.
