About
Hi! I'm Sam and I'm a licensed therapist in NH. As a clinician, I take a non-judgmental approach to clients, acknowledging the value of understanding how we got here over finding a "quick fix". One of my goals is to offer new perspectives around your circumstances to encourage self-compassion as a tool for long term, meaningful change.
I believe neurodiversity is an asset in communities and have seen it undervalued time and time again. As a neurodivergent person myself, I want to make space for the skills and strengths that are present when we find ourselves masking AND build an environment of enough safety to take the mask off. I have found that therapy isn't a one-size-fits-all experience and I appreciate the opportunity to learn from my clients new ways to think about our lives that expand my ability to help others.
I utilize a strengths-based approach throughout my work in order to bring compassion to the therapy space. I believe human behaviors are a collection of adaptive responses to many variables at once and this deserves non-judgmental understanding, whether or not we are looking to make change. I'd rather invite your inner critic to the table to better understand their purpose than try to bully it out of your system. (Trust me, we've all tried that approach and it never works!)
