Hello and Welcome! My name is Sally Swan and I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker. I live in New York State and have provided mental health services to children, teens and seniors. My goal is to have a safe and warm environment where you can express your feelings and issues, while becoming aware of your strengths to create the life you desire.
My interest in working with adults and children on the spectrum started early on in my career with the realization that each individual has there own challenges and strengths. I believe when given a compassionate and supportive environment, clients can overcome past challenges with the awareness of new skills and the recognition of individual strengths.
Focus is on the ability to work together in a collaborative environment and develop a plan based on strengths and the awareness of what is possible. Empowerment, commitment and mindfulness are some of the interventions used to help a client reach there goals and fullest potential.
