About

Hello! I'm Dr. Sabrina Stutz. I live in North Carolina and am licensed in California, North Carolina, and authorized through PSYPACT, which allows me to provide virtual care across many states. As a clinician, I believe in creating a warm, structured space where you feel truly seen and supported. My goals for assessment are to provide compassionate, affirming care and clear answers. I'm honored to be on this part of the journey with you, and hope that our work together will give you greater self-understanding and clarity on the road ahead.

Education & Licensure
MA & PhD in Psychology from DePaul University, Internship & Fellowship at Stanford University, Bachelors in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My path to working with Autistic adults stems from years of supporting individuals navigating complex diagnoses and life-altering medical experiences. Throughout my career in medical psychology, I witnessed how transformative it can be when someone finally receives a diagnosis that helps their experiences make sense—and how painful it can be when that process is delayed, dismissed, or done without affirmation. Autistic adults have been deeply underserved by our healthcare system, and I believe access to affirming, thoughtful diagnostic services can be truly life-changing. I am inspired by the strength, resilience, and unique perspectives of the Autistic community, and I'm committed to providing evaluations that honor each person's story.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I bring a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to my work. I believe every person has inherent strengths, and my role is to help you recognize and build upon them rather than focus solely on challenges or deficits. I actively listen to your experiences, validate your feelings, and create space for you to express yourself authentically without judgment. My clinical background includes extensive training in trauma-informed care, and I understand that discussing your experiences—especially if you've faced invalidation or misunderstanding in the past—requires trust and sensitivity. I incorporate mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches into my work, and I'm committed to ensuring that the evaluation process feels collaborative rather than something being done to you. You are the expert on your own experience, and I'm here to provide clarity, support, and affirmation as you move forward.
