About
Welcome! My name is Dr. Rose Sneed. I'm honored to have the opportunity to work with you! I am located in the state of Washington, and I am a licensed psychologist in Washington, California, and Illinois. I was drawn to psychology, because I had a deep curiosity about human behavior and how we navigate the complexity of living full lives. After many years of working with clients, leading teams of behavioral health professionals, and developing community behavioral health programs, my curiosity is still very present. I have witnessed the power of helping others become curious about themselves. I discovered that we may become more flexible in our thinking, increase self-compassionate, and feel more confident in our relationships when we seek to answer important questions through formal evaluations or engage in a process of therapeutic self-exploration.
My early career was spent providing early intervention and prevention services to children ages 0-5 years. During that time I learned the importance of screening and assessing for developmental differences in individuals to help them get their emotional and social needs met. As I have now focused my work with adults, I still have the goal of supporting individuals to understand their strengths and opportunities for growth. By empowering clients with a clearer picture of how they think and relate to others, they can use this information for self-advocacy in all areas of their lives.
My professional and personal values are rooted in the belief in everyone's inherent goodwill and worthiness of respect. I also believe that we all use strengths to manage the daily challenges of our lives. I approach my relationship with clients with a sincere interest in learning with them, rather than imposing a specific agenda. I trust that they know themselves best. My role is to provide them with information that will support their growth and help them plan the future they desire.
