About

Hello and welcome! I'm Dr. Roas; I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in Florida, and thanks to PSYPACT certification, I am privileged to partner with individuals seeking virtual services across more than 40 states. Having spent several years in the mental health field with a specialization in psychological assessment, I focus on delivering a thorough, clear, and validating evaluation process.I am genuinely happy to be part of your journey toward self-discovery. For many individuals, a formal diagnosis is the missing link that finally makes sense of a lifetime of unexplained struggles. Deciding to pursue an adult autism evaluation takes immense courage, and it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed by this step. Because of this, I am fully committed to keeping the assessment process as easy, streamlined, and transparent as possible. My practice is fundamentally person-focused; while I maintain the high clinical standards required for an accurate diagnosis, I ensure our time together is spent in a warm, collaborative, and judgment-free space where your unique history and lived experiences are truly heard.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My decision to specialize in adult evaluations comes from recognizing how isolating it can be to navigate the world without clear answers. Too often, neurodivergent adults are left out of early diagnostic frameworks, spending decades trying to decipher their unique cognitive and social styles on their own. I chose this path because I believe every individual deserves access to a service that cuts through that confusion. Whether the assessment confirms autism or points toward a different clinical explanation, self-discovery is an incredibly rewarding journey. Ultimately, my goal is to ensure that no matter what the answer is, the evaluation process yields deep personal insight and provides a clear, actionable roadmap for your next steps in life.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach to assessment is firmly rooted in the belief that neurodivergence represents a natural variation in human thinking and experiencing - focusing on differences, not deficits. Every individual possesses a unique blueprint of strengths and natural cognitive abilities. True success and fulfillment happen when we identify and maximize those strengths rather than spending energy trying to fit into a neurotypical mold. I look beyond clinical criteria to actively map out your innate capabilities and assets. It is entirely possible to thrive and build a deeply successful life when your environment is aligned with how your brain naturally works.
